Stitch An Inch - Finish Dir

** If stitching your piece to fit into a pendant you can stitch a small border with 3 extra rows all around. Make the border any color you wish and then it will fit perfectly into the 1 ¼  x 1 ¼ inch pendants. Or if you left them as 1 inch you can just glue them on top of a 1 ¼ square inch piece of wool

  • Stitch a square or squares in a hoop or a Q-snap

  • Trim Threads in the back

  • Make sure blocks are perfectly shaped in your hoop. All edges are straight. Stretch and tighten in the hoop to make sure you have exact square shapes.
  • Turn hoop over to wrong side

  • Apply glue to the back of the piece. (Aleenes Fabric Fusion) Cover the stitched design with the glue and a few linen threads (approx 3) all around your stitched square.
  • Let dry for at least 4 hours.

  • When thoroughly dry cut out the piece with small sharp scissors. You can either glue down into your pendant or on top of a piece of wool or felt. I usually cut a piece at least 1 ¼ wide by 10 inches long. Then cut them into 1 ¼ inch squares and keep any extra for future projects.

These small pendants can also be hung with ribbon on your wall as mini frames in a grouping or in that small tiny space that nothing fits into.
I hope you enjoy your small mini treasures and find special places for them.
